The "Aeon" urn is a faithful handmade ceramic replica of an ancient white lekythos. It is decorated with a scene of a visit to the tomb, one of the most characteristic and beloved themes of ancient Greek vase painting, which is often found on lekythos intended for funerary use.
A large tomb column dominates the middle of the composition. On the right side of the stele, a young woman carries a canister of wreaths. Opposite her, to the left of the column, stands a young man, wearing only a robe and holding a spear, apparently her prematurely lost companion.
